BATH PROJECT - PHASE 13 - NEW TILING CHALLENGES

THE WINDOW SILL AND SIDES IS TODAY'S PLAN?

First step is addition of the window sill.

Travertine has been added as the sill surface.

Now we add the Travertine molding

Molding pieces are added one at a time, butted closely together with Thinset.

Wood shims are used to insure the molding and sill are at the same level.

We seem to have suceeded with our planned sill.

One of the cubbies shows how the verticle sides are treated.

Sara has completed the left side and is adding the next row under the sill.

I started on the right side .....

while Sara begins removing the + shaped spots used to aide the tile placement.

Sara takes over the right side while I continue the tile cutting in the garage.

Both sides of the window are completed ...

by about 7 PM.

Tomorrow we hope to complete the window area, the seat, and the final (right) wall.

Waldo knows it is time for his duty to begin ....

and gives us his most vicious look!
