BATH PROJECT - PHASE 6 - FILLING SEAMS, ADDING THE LINER & MORE WONDER BOARD
and Owner of "Robert's Remodeling and Restoration"
FILLING SOME OF THE UPPER "WONDERBOARD" SEAMS WITH FIBERGLASS MESH AND "THINSET" CEMENT
Initial efforts are a bit rough
and I do have to leave room for the bottom panel.
Inside the Cubbies is a real challenge
Even filling the seams is difficult.
I quickly learned that "thinset" sets up very quickly.
The liner will wait until tomorrow - just this fill work took longer than planned.
TOMORROW ARRIVES
We begin with the liner at the right corner ....
the center .....
and the left end.
A special drain with seals to the liner and weep holes.
The corners require special treatment as well.
The lower concrete board can now be added.
The final board for the day comes from the garage.
And gets installed on the left side.
Next day will be the 2 right panels and the front of the seats.
TO DATE WE HAVE WORKED 11 PARTIAL (3-5 HOUR) OR COMPLETE (8 HOUR) DAYS WITH 3 DAYS OFF
