BATH PROJECT - PHASE 7 - TESTING THE LINER, FILLING SEAMS, ADDING MORE WONDER BOARD

Technical Assistance provided by Aaron Roberts, Sara's son,
and Owner of "Robert's Remodeling and Restoration"

FILLING SOME OF THE UPPER "WONDERBOARD" SEAMS WITH FIBERGLASS MESH AND "THINSET" CEMENT

To test the liner, we pour in water and close the drain.

More water arrives!

Several buckets later ...

and no leaks at the only possible corners.

Guess we sealed them adequately.

WE FINISH THE WONDERBOARD AND BEGIN SEALING ALL THE SEAMS.

Sara applies silicon sealer to all the screw heads.

Then mixes up Thinset and picks up where I left off last.

Having finished the Wonderboard on all walls, I'm now ready for the last piece on the support for the glass blocks.

Sara is nearing completion on sealing the walls....

The glass support is finished and sealed. I look forward to correcting a little cubbie error later -(hah!).

May look rough but it is ready for wall tile ....

but first we need a layer of mortar on the floor liner, probably Tuesday.

Then we start the tiling soon.

TO DATE WE HAVE WORKED 12 PARTIAL (3-5 HOUR) OR COMPLETE (8-9 HOUR) DAYS WITH 3 DAYS OFF
